Host country Sweden have been handed an automatic place in this year’s Speedway World Cup Final as part of a change to the series format. This means only the top team from the Raceoff event will progress to the final along with the winning teams from rounds one and two. Fifteen countries will compete altogether and teams will now track just four riders instead of five. The change in team size will see each meeting staged over 20 heats, instead of the previous 25.
